Outdoor activities

Welcome to Bizzy Bees Kindergarten’s Outdoor Adventure!

At Bizzy Bees, we believe in the power of nature to nurture and grow. Our enchanting outdoor garden is a space where children can explore, learn, and grow. Each day, our little explorers venture into this green haven for at least two joy-filled hours, engaging in both free play and structured activities.

Beside our daily activities in our gardens, kids regularly have trips to the beach, parks, outdoor sport venues.

Why We Embrace the Great Outdoors:

  • Physical Development: Outdoor play is a natural booster for children’s health. Running, jumping, and climbing are not just fun but essential for physical growth and well-being.

  • Motor Skills: The great outdoors is the perfect playground for developing motor skills. Climbing ladders, swinging across monkey bridges, and navigating obstacle courses refine children’s gross motor abilities in the most delightful way.

  • Healthy Appetites: Fresh air and physical activity are known to stimulate hunger. Children who play outside tend to have better appetites, fuelling their bodies for growth and learning.

  • Curiosity and Discovery: Nature’s wonders spark endless curiosity. From the intricate patterns of leaves to the industrious march of ants or the slow motion of tiny snails, every corner of our garden is a potential discovery zone, igniting the curiosity of every child.

  • Imagination and Creativity: With the vast array of natural resources at their fingertips, children are inspired to create, imagine, and invent in open-ended play.

  • Self-Confidence: Our outdoor equipment allows children to assess risks and master new skills under the watchful eyes of our teachers. This builds not only physical prowess but also self-assurance.

  • Social Skills:  Free play, and especially pretend play, fosters essential social skills. Children learn to communicate, cooperate, negotiate, and resolve conflicts as they play and interact with peers.

  • Emotional Well-Being: Outdoor activities contribute to emotional balance. Children who engage with nature regularly are often more composed and better at managing their emotions. We’ve observed that even our most reserved children blossom in the freedom of the outdoors, actively participating and engaging with their peers.

Beyond Play: Learning in Nature’s Classroom

At Bizzy Bees, we extend learning beyond the traditional classroom walls. We don't only play outside but we endeavour to bring structured lessons, traditionally taught indoor, to the outdoor natural space. The recent EU Otter project ( https://otter-project.eu/ ) highlighted the benefits of teaching STEAM and other subjects outdoor.

Join us at Bizzy Bees, where every day is an opportunity for outdoor adventure and discovery!
